I went to Itaim Municipal Natural Park to try to see the Black Hawk-Eagle.

When I arrived at the park I met the park guide, Herik, with two other birders, Tomas Sigrist and his friend Rui.

While we were on the first trail, we could see and hear several species of birds, insects, and flowers, until we started hearing the Black Hawk-Eagle vocalizing.

We went back near the park headquarters, where the Black Hawk-Eagle's nest is, to look for the youngster that was vocalizing for food.

The youngster stays in trees near the nest begging for food, so it took us a while to find it. When we finally did, we spent almost an hour watching and listening to it. I had the opportunity to take a photo of it in the tree.

The park is amazing, I recommend the visit.

At the park headquarters there is a feeder, where there was this hybrid tanager.

We could also see several hummingbirds and Bananaquits at the feeder.

We also saw several Pileated Parrot perched in a tree.
